Frequently asked questions

What does TextPolishAI actually do?

It rewrites stiff, machine-drafted text so it reads like a person wrote it: varied sentence rhythm, plain words, stock phrases removed. It is an editing tool for your own drafts — blog posts, emails, LinkedIn posts, cover letters, reports and more.

Will it change my facts, numbers or names?

No. The pipeline is fidelity-first: facts, figures, percentages, names, dates and your stance are locked, and the output stays within about 5% of your length. In pre-launch testing, 10 of 10 sample documents kept every fact, with an average fidelity score of 94.2/100.

How do word credits work?

One word of input costs one word of balance, charged only when a rewrite succeeds. You get 1,500 free words anonymously and 1,500 more in a free account. Purchased words (20,000 for $9.99, 60,000 for $19.99) never expire and there is no subscription.

Which languages are supported?

The rewrite keeps the language of your input. English is the home language; Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian and Indonesian have dedicated pages, and other languages the model handles will also stay in-language.

What are the registers?

General (neutral polish), Business (clear professional tone), Academic (formal register and terminology preserved) and Casual (conversational, social-ready). Pick the one matching where the text will be read.

Is my text stored?

Your text is sent to our rewriting provider to produce the output and is not kept as a document by us. We keep account data (email, word balance, payment records) to run the service. The free checker runs entirely in your browser. See the privacy page for details.

Do you guarantee any detector result?

No — and you should be suspicious of any tool that does. Detector systems are proprietary, disagree with each other, and change over time; independent testing of this whole category shows unstable results. We promise natural, faithful prose, which you can judge by reading it.

Can I use this for school assignments?

For editing an assignment you wrote yourself, where your institution allows editing help — that is ordinary editing. Using the service to submit work that is not yours, or to disguise authorship, is academic misconduct and is prohibited by our terms.

What is the longest text I can polish?

5,000 words per request. Longer documents can be polished in parts; the length lock keeps each part close to its original size.

A payment succeeded but my words did not arrive. What now?

Words are credited by the payment webhook and again when you land on the success page, so a short delay usually resolves itself. If they still have not arrived within an hour, email support with your payment ID and we will credit or refund you.

Can I get a refund?

Words that were never delivered are always refundable. Words already spent on successful rewrites are not. If the tool fails you repeatedly, contact support — we would rather make it right than hide behind a policy.
