Privacy Policy

The short version
Text you paste for polishing is sent to our rewriting provider to produce your result and is not stored as a document on our side — we do not keep a library of your drafts. The free checker runs entirely in your browser; that text never leaves your device at all.
What we store, and why
- Account data: your email address and account creation date, so you can sign in with an email code (there are no passwords).
- Word balance: your current balance and one marker per payment, so purchases are credited exactly once and balances can be restored.
- Payments: processed by Dodo Payments. We receive payment status and identifiers; we never see or store your card details.
- Anonymous free allowance: a hashed, salted form of your IP address with a remaining-words counter, so the free tier can be offered without an account and cannot be trivially farmed. The raw IP is not stored for this purpose.
- Operational logs: standard server logs (timestamps, endpoints, error states) for security and debugging.
How your text is processed
When you press "Polish my text", your draft is transmitted over HTTPS to our rewriting model provider (currently DeepSeek's API) together with the editing instructions, and the result is returned to you. Providers process the text to answer the request; consult the provider's own policy for its handling. Do not paste text you are not permitted to share with a processing provider — for example, someone else's confidential documents.
Cookies
We use only functional cookies: a sign-in session cookie (30 days), a short-lived sign-in challenge cookie (10 minutes), and nothing for advertising or cross-site tracking. This site does not run third-party advertising trackers.
Your choices
You can use the tool anonymously without an account. If you create an account, you can ask us at any time to export or delete your account data (email and balance records) by writing to support@textpolishai.com. Deleting the account deletes the balance with it. Payment records may be retained where tax and accounting law requires.
Changes
If this policy changes materially — especially anything about text retention — the change will be announced on this page before it takes effect.
